O'Sullivan will make her debut at the World Archery Championships
Jersey archer Lucy O'Sullivan has been selected for the Great Britain team to compete at the 45th World Archery Championships in Ulsan, Korea.
The 19-year-old finished fourth in the selection trials and was not expecting to be picked.
However, after team-mate Rikki Bingham withdrew due to illness, O'Sullivan received the last minute call-up.
GB performance manager Barry Eley told BBC Radio Jersey: "Lucy has been our top junior by a mile for years."
He added: "She was an excellent junior and has made the transition into the senior squad with ease."
I'm really excited, I've shot for Great Britain before as a junior, this will be my first senior shoot and I'm so happy it's the World Championships

O'Sullivan will be part of the 12-strong GB squad and, while having competed on the international stage at a junior level, makes her senior debut in Korea.
O'Sullivan shoots in the compound discipline, which is not in the Olympics, so at 19 she has reached the pinnacle of her sport.
She told BBC Radio Jersey: "I'm really excited, I've shot for Great Britain before as a junior, this will be my first senior shoot and I'm so happy it's the World Championships.
"I've had to do a lot of travelling and miss school because of archery, but it's really worth it and when it pays off, shooting at the World Championships, it really makes my day."
O'Sullivan is one of the youngest competitors at the World Championships, something which is not lost on her.
"Hopefully I'll do okay, hopefully I will be up there with the big girls and do well, most people are a bit older than me and hopefully I'll learn from them."
The 45th World Archery Championships in Ulsan, Korea begin on 1 September.
