Moon two wins away from IRB final

Exeter Chiefs prop Ben Moon and the England U20s are only two wins away from an appearance in the IRB Junior World Championship final in Japan.

Moon will first have to help England overcome Samoa on Saturday for a place in the semi-finals.

The 19-year-old is confident England have the quality to go through.

He said: "We're nowhere near our full potential yet, but we must step up against Samoa because that game will be the hardest."

Moon will be facing up to two of the biggest players in world rugby on Saturday, with both Samoan props hitting the scales at over 20 stone.

And despite Moon weighing a comparatively svelte 17 stone, he is confident the English pack will be able to compete.

He said: "Scrummaging is about all eight forwards, you all have to work hard and our second row and back row players have been doing that.

"Samoa have got some big lads, particularly in the front row, but we've got as good a chance as anyone to push them backwards in the pack."

England have comfortably won both of their group matches so far, beating Japan 43-0 and Scotland 30-7.
