Devon lost to Yorkshire in the 2008 County Championship Final

Cornwall came out on top against Devon at the Brickfields in the opening fixture of the County Championship.

In the first period, the visitors scored two tries through Luke Collins and Mark Richards, to put themselves 18-10 up at half-time.

Devon fought back with tries from Pat Sykes and Nathan Hannay, but were unable to make home advantage count.

Cornwall rounded the win off with a superb try from St Ives winger William Dirksen in the last 10 minutes.
