National One side Exeter Chiefs have confirmed that John Andress, Josh Drauniniu and Lewis Stevenson have joined Premiership club Harlequins.

Drauniniu was the club's top try-scorer last season and was called up to play for England Sevens.

Chiefs acting coach Robin Cowling said: "It's a testament to the quality of our coaching that these players have been signed to the Premiership.

"While we are disappointed, we wish them good luck for their futures."

But while the Chiefs have lost three players, the club have also confirmed that scrum-half Haydn Thomas will return to Sandy Park in the summer, for what will be his third stint with the club.

The 26-year-old has spent four years in the Premiership, first at Gloucester then for the last two seasons with now relegated Bristol, making 35 appearances in that time.

Cowling added: "Haydn is an excellent scrum-half who has had recent experience with the club and will easily slot into our working practices and culture.

"We look forward to welcoming him back here in the summer."
