Ramsey narrowly missed out on promotion to South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three on Saturday despite beating second-placed Linley 17-11. A victory margin of 30 points or more would have given them promotion. The result means Ramsey finish their debut season in the English league rugby in fourth place. Meanwhile, in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One, a makeshift Vagabonds side were thrashed 83-0 away at Winnington Park. Elsewhere, Douglas were soundly beaten 50-10 at Division Two champions Anselmians. The result sees Douglas finish their campaign in a respectable sixth place. Douglas and Vagabonds now face each other in next week's Manx Cup Final.
