Leeds Carnegie expect to have Hendre Fourie fit for the National Trophy final at Twickenham.
The South African flanker had been ruled out for the season after damaging knee ligaments in January but he could now face Moseley on 18 April.
Director of rugby Andy Key told BBC Radio Leeds: "We hope Hendre will be back in the next few weeks.
"He has recovered much quicker than expected and we are confident he will be available for the Trophy final."
One player that will be forced to miss Leeds' trip to Twickenham is Pete Bucknall as the prop has undergone surgery to repair his knee ligaments.
Key added: "Pete is out for the rest of the season with his ACL.
"But the report back of the operation and the reconstruction of the patella has been outstanding.
"We could find he actually is ready to come back for the start of next season."
Leeds expect fellow prop Juan Gomez to be available for Saturday's trip to Moseley after a dead leg forced him to miss the 33-9 home win over Cornish Pirates on Sunday.
