Aaron Cruickshanks got the first try for Albion as they lost to Bedford |
Plymouth Albion's first home game for five weeks ended in convincing defeat as they went down 31-14 to Bedford. Albion were 19-0 down at the break after tries from Maurice Botha, Brendan Burke and Ryan Owen. Aaron Cruickshanks' try after 67 minutes gave Albion hope but Bedford wing Ollie Dodge fended off some weak tackling to make it 24-7. Albion winger Justin Mensah-Coker made it 24-14 before Karl Dixon's try rounded off the win for Bedford.
Plymouth Albion try-scorer Aaron Cruickshanks told BBC Radio Devon: "The performance was a lot better today, unfortunately we didn't achieve the result. "They put some good phases together today and really stretched us in the defence and took their opportunities well. "We left ourselves with too much to do and a few silly mistakes cost us."
