Graham Dawe's Plymouth Albion missed out on overtaking London Welsh in National One on Sunday after losing at Old Deer Park. Dawe's side entered the clash in eighth place, two points behind Welsh, and held a 6-5 lead after 27 minutes. But they trailed 22-6 at the break, having had two players sin-binned. The hosts came close to a fourth try and a bonus point on 72 minutes when centre Paul Mackey was denied by a last-ditch tackle from Alex Davies.
