Exeter's 9-9 draw with Doncaster summed up their end of season malaise as they finished runners-up to Leeds.

It was the Chiefs' second home draw of a campaign which promised much but delivered little.

Doncaster led their hosts 9-0 at half-time with two Jamie Lennard penalties and a drop-goal.

Despite Tony Yapp levelling matters with three penalties, the 4,972 crowd showed their frustration by slow hand-clapping the players.
