Jackson eyeing Twickenham final

Jackson got his second hat-trick of the season on Saturday

Nottingham full-back David Jackson says his side have their eye on a Twickenham final after their 66-7 win at Mounts Bay in the National Trophy.

Nottingham now face Leeds Carnegie in the semi-final, while Moseley take on Exeter Chiefs in the other semi-final.

The Green and Whites managed 10 tries in Saturday's quarter-final victory, Jackson collecting a hat-trick.

"We are desperate to go one further than last year and reach the final," Jackson told the club website.

"We wanted to put on a good show for the green army and give them something to cheer about after a long trip down.

"Our fans were superb - it seemed like there were more of our fans than theirs on Saturday and we really appreciate all the effort they went to in coming and supporting us in Cornwall.

"We deserve a final appearance at Twickenham after the season we have had and I am sure the boys will be looking forward to the semi-final in a couple of weeks."
