Pressure is all on us - Delaney

Glenn Delaney
Delaney's side beat Cornish Pirates 39-8 to reach the quarter-finals.

Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney says the weight of expectation is their biggest barrier to progressing into the National Trophy semi-finals.

The Green and Whites, fifth in National One, face National Two outfit Mounts Bay on Saturday.

"The pressure is on playing a team in the division below," Delaney said.

Nottingham will field a much-changed side with Phil Eggleshaw, Neil Fowkes, Sam McDonald, Tim Molenaar and Ben Thompson all starting.

Dan Cole, Luke Sherriff and Andy Savage all miss out while Lee Morley has returned to Australia.

And the Green & Whites are also without Neil Starling and Alex Rae, who have been recalled from their loan spell by Northampton Saints to cover for injuries.

Nottingham reached the quarter-final after beating Cornish Pirates in the last round.

"We've had two semi-finals in three years and want to go one stage further," Delaney told BBC Radio Nottingham.

"The expectation is that a team in the top part of the league above should actually complete that (win).

"I want to get to the next stage and all the players do - we want to get to Twickenham."

Nottingham: Jackson, Cobden, Nirmalendran, Molenaar, Thompson, Taylor, Pilgrim; Parr, Duffey, Fowkes, McDonald, Rouse, Hammond, Eggleshaw, Montagu.
Reps: Kirk, Loney, Nimmo, Corcoran, Davies, Hayter, Dodge.
