Wales centre Rachel Poolman is taking heart from last year's 12-6 defeat
Wales Women are in confident mood ahead of Saturday's visit of champions England to Taffs Well.
"We lost quite badly against them in [last year's] Six Nations, but then in the European Championship the score was 12-6," said centre Rachel Poolman, 22.
"We're very confident, we've been practising really well together."
England are on the trail of an unprecedented fourth straight Six Nations Grand Slam after last week's 69-13 victory over Italy.
Wales claimed an impressive 31-10 victory over Scotland at Lasswade, having targeted at least third place in the Championship to ensure automatic World Cup qualification.
Interview: Mel Berry
"We're well on course [for qualification], Scotland were one of the sides we targeted but England will be a far different challenge," said Wales coach Jason Lewis, whose side lost 55-0 to England in last year's Six Nations.
"It's an opportunity to have a go at the best team in the northern hemisphere and turn them over.
"That's our approach... long term our goal is to try to turn England over... We came close to them in the European Championship and want to build on that.
"[It's] understanding what we need to do well to counter the attacking threat they have throughout the team and capitalising on some of our strengths."
Wales captain Mel Berry, a try scorer in Scotland, is keen that all the focus is not on the England game.
"I wouldn't say it's the biggest test of the Championship, every game we take to be as important as the next," said 27-year-old Berry, who is set for her 71st cap and her 51st as captain.
"Especially as it's World Cup qualifying year we've really targeted France away as a key game.
"You have to look at England and respect them for what they've achieved, but we're going to go in with confidence.
