Wales women off to winning start

Scotland 10-31 Wales

Wales women began their Six Nations campaign with a comfortable 31-10 victory over Scotland at Lasswade.

First-half tries from debutant winger Ali Wright, captain Mellissa Berry and Non Evans set up a 25-10 lead at the break with Lucy Millard replying.

Evans took her points total to 21 by adding two second-half penalties.

"It was important we got our campaign off to a win," said Berry. "To have such a healthy lead at halftime was very pleasing."
