England women put in a convincing 34-5 victory over Scotland to move to within sight of an unprecedented third consecutive RBS Six Nations Grand Slam. They ran in six tries including two for Wasps winger Michaela Staniford in rain-soaked Edinburgh.
Staniford was on the end of a well worked line-out which then saw the ball recycled out through the centres.
Scotland's sole score came after 43 minutes, when Heather Lockhart drove over after Lindsay Wheeler's break.
England head coach Gary Street said: "The conditions weren't kind to us and I think they acted as a bit of an equaliser.
"For us, it was also useful to blood two new caps and try out some new combinations on the pitch.
"Scotland indeed raised their game and defended furiously. This was one of our tougher fixtures this season."
England face Ireland at the London Irish ground in Sunbury next Saturday in their final Six Nations match.
