Five Leeds changes for Coventry

Kearnan Myall
Myall made his England Saxons debut in the 66-0 win over Portugal

Leeds Carnegie have made five changes to the team that defeated Sedgley Park for Sunday's National Trophy fifth round tie with Coventry at Headingley.

Kearnan Myall returns from England Saxons duty to start in the second row, while Phil Nilsen starts at prop.

In the backs, Alberto Di Bernardo starts at fly-half while Richard Welding comes in on the wing after recovering from food poisoning.

Prop Adam Hopcroft is named on the bench after a loan spell at Otley.

Hooker Vili Ma'asi and back-row Jon Dubar are also on the bench, as they continue to be eased back into first-team action after long-term injuries.

However Argentinian prop Juan Gomez will not feature after being ruled out for four weeks with a hamstring injury.

Head coach Neil Back told BBC Radio Leeds: "We are three or four days into Juan's injury now and he is out for three to four weeks, but we'll manage that and we are treating that well.

"It's unfortunate to lose Juan again but we have a strong enough squad to cope with that.

"Mike MacDonald was away last week on compassionate leave but he will be back this week and Tommy McGee is fine after his injury concern."
