Exeter Chiefs moved to within eight points of leaders Leeds with a five-try victory against Bedford. Sandy Park was passed playable an hour before kick off, but Exeter wasted no time totting up the points. Gareth Steenson, who was successful with six kicks at goal, and full-back Sean Marsden helped carve out a 23-7 half-time lead. Second-half tries from centre Bryan Rennie and wings Matt Jess and Josh Drauniniu earned a bonus points win. Bedford's three tries came from former Leicester Tigers stand-off Billy Twelvetrees (2) and Rory McKay.
