Bad weather not affecting Chiefs

Bryan Rennie
Rennie admits he is not used to the freezing conditions

Exeter Chiefs centre Bryan Rennie says the cold weather which caused last week's match at Moseley to be called off has had some benefits for the team.

The South African believes the extra rest has helped the side.

"It's very frustrating but I think a few of the boys who have been playing week-in week-out appreciated the time off," he told BBC Radio Devon.

And he says training has not been affected by the bad weather because of the club's artificial surface.

"We're training on a 3G surface, which is an artificial pitch. We're quite fortunate to have that so it hasn't affected out preparation at all."

But the 24-year-old former London Irish man, who has just returned to the squad after two months out with a shoulder injury, says the bad weather takes some getting used to.

"It's very difficult, especially for me coming from South Africa, but we all dress up in the thermals and keep warm and its quite nice to get in once training's done."
