Oxford University's final Varsity match warm-up against Northampton Saints has been put back to Monday, 1 December.

The game was due to be played at Iffley Road on Saturday.

Dark Blues' director of Rugby Steve Hill told BBC Oxford: "The team has won eight out of nine but realise there's work that needs to be done."

The university's annual match with Cambridge is being held at Twickenham on Thursday 11 December, kick-off is at 1400 GMT.

Hill admitted he was not too upset about losing their last match at Exeter earlier this week.

He said: "It certainly knocked any complacency out of us but having watched the tape there were other positives that came of it."
