Delaney already has one eye on the league restructure for next season |
Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney has said Saturday's clash at London Welsh is one of the most important games so far this season. There are five points separating the two clubs in National One. "This is huge for us and one of those games in the season that is classed as an eight pointer," Delaney said. "If we win on Saturday we will put some breathing space between third and fourth, but if they win they will be biting at our heels." Delaney added: "The new RFU structure is likely to include a cup bonus for teams finishing in the top four and if we are to achieve a top three finish we have to go to places like London Welsh and come back with a result." Hooker Joe Duffey will make his 100th consecutive appearance for the Green and Whites on Saturday.
