Jersey face strong opposition in Old Albanians |
Jersey coach Ben Harvey believes his side will be in for a big test when they take on Old Albanians on Saturday. The Hertfordshire team are in fourth place in London One just above Jersey on points. After holding leaders Shelford 6-6 in their last game, Saturday's opponents are in their fifth successive year in London one. Harvey told BBC Jersey: "They have players with Premiership experience, so it's going to be a big test." He added: "Every week we're playing against sides with players that have played Premiership or Division One rugby. "Old Albanians have captain Gregg Botterman at hooker and Paul Gustard who played as recently as last year for Saracens, so they've got some real talent." Jersey are currently in fifth place with two wins, two draws and a loss but Harvey believes they should be higher. "Coming back to our performances, I feel we should be in the top three, we should have won both the games we drew. "But saying that, it's been great for our guys in terms of confidence, we've managed to see what the league is about and the young players have proved to themselves that they're good enough to play." After next weeks home game against Luton, Jersey will have played the top half of the table and Harvey is looking forward to playing them again. "A lot of the clubs we've played will fear us going back next time. "It's looking good for the rest of the season."
