Jersey Nomads and Beeches have both made it through to the quarter-finals of the Touzel Trophy competition for Championship sides.

Nomads beat bottom of the table St Martin Sporting Club Francais 5-3.

Ben Doherty and Paul Lees both scored twice for Nomads while Lee Richomme got a hat-trick for St Martin/SCF.

Second-placed St Clement were upset at home by seventh-placed Beeches as they went down 5-2. Bob Bonney and Simon Logan both scoring two for Beeches.

Beeches now face St John in the last eight while Nomads take on leaders Portuguese Club. The other two ties see St Lawrence host St Brelade and Magpies go to First Tower United.

There was one game in the league, with First Tower moving up two places to fourth after beating St Brelade 2-1 at la Hague Manor.

Stewart Daynes and Adam Lester were on target for Tower, Matt Godel replied for St Brelade.
