The Chiefs conceded two early tries, the first coming from ex-Cornish Pirates wins Richard Welding.

Another former Pirate, hooker Vili M'asi, made it 14-0 before Chiefs' Fijian wing Josh Drauniniu combined with Gareth Steenson to score.

Steenson added another two penalties in the second half, but Leeds repelled further Chiefs raids.
