Devon's Coombs wins more medals

Krysten Coombs
Coombs is aiming to represent Great Britain at the Paralympics in 2012

Devon's Krysten Coombs has continued to win medals at national level in both table tennis and badminton.

Coombs, who has dwarfism, won silver in the men's doubles at the Welsh Four Nations Disabled Badminton Tournament, held in Cardiff in August.

And he followed up his success by winning silver in table tennis at the UK School Games last weekend.

The 16-year-old, from Dartington, has also been nominated for an OCS Young Sports Person award.

Despite his recent successes, competing in two sports has started to cause Coombs scheduling problems.

He will be attending a national training camp for table tennis in Sheffield in November, which is on the same weekend as the Irish Four Nations badminton event.
