Launceston have signed winger Jon Marlin from Mounts Bay, their fourth recruit from the newly-promoted side. The Durban-born back follows Darren and Jamie Semmens and Chris Morris to Polson Bridge. Marlin scored 18 tries for the Bay as they won National Three South last season, a record which did not go unnoticed by Launceston's coaches. "We've signed him as a gas man really, a finisher," said Launceston's joint head coach Jon Hill. "We know his defence is very strong, he has a tremendous work ethic and his leadership qualities are there for all to see. "In that respect, he fits right into our mould," Hill added.
