Stroud is latest signing for Bay

Mounts Bay

Mounts Bay have signed Plymouth Albion flanker Brett Stroud for the forthcoming National Two season.

Stroud, who was also part of Devon's County Championship side, is the latest player to join the newly promoted Penzance-based club.

Stroud follows in the footsteps former Plymouth Albion prop Tim Mathias who has also left the Brickfields for the Mennaye Field.

Bay say they are also looking to sign an Italian under 21 international.

Giovanni Centorrino, a 21-year-old centre or full back, will join the club for the start of pre-season training on trial with a view to securing a permanent deal.

He spent last season playing for Italian Serie A side Modena.

He joins a host of other new faces including Cornish Pirates back Sam Parsons, Fraser Clilverd from Irish side Greystones and Camborne pair Rob Ley and Josh Matevasie.
