South African coach Jake White has confirmed he will stay on as coach for the next World Cup in 2007.
White rejected rumours of a rift between himself and South African Rugby Union president Brian van Rooyen, pledging his future to the team.
"There was never a rift between Brian van Rooyen and myself and the president has never interfered," said White.
"Brian has now ensured I have a direct line to him, which will make my job much easier."
Under the terms of the SARFU constitution, Van Rooyen still has to approve the make-up of all Springbok teams, but he insisted he was happy with White's record of bringing players of colour into the team.
White used 13 black players in his teams in 2004 and has already awarded Test caps to two more black players, Enrico Januarie and wing Tonderai Chavhanga.
