Springbok coach Jake White has had his contract extended until 2007 by the South Africa Rugby Football Union. The 40-year-old succeeded Rudolf Straeuli in February, on a contract that was due to expire in May, 2006.
But on the recommendation of the union's technical committee, that has been extended to the next World Cup.
White led South Africa to the Tri-Nations title earlier this year, only the second time the Springboks have won the competition.
He was previously South Africa's Under-21 coach.
