Yates is Sarries' fourth signing from Sale |
Prop Kevin Yates has become the latest player to join Saracens from Sale for the start of the 2004/05 season. The 31-year-old loosehead will link up with current team-mates Alex Sanderson, Iain Fullarton and Matt Cairns at Vicarage Road next season.
Born in Canada, Yates has also played for Bath and Super 12 team Wellington, and has been capped twice by England.
Saracens coach Rod Kafer said: "Kevin brings a lot of experience and is a fierce competitor on the pitch."
Kafer added: "Not only is he a very good player, but he also has the ability to pass on his knowledge to some of the younger looseheads in the squad."
Yates becomes the sixth new Sarries signing for the 2004/05 campaign with Sanderson, Fullarton, Cairns, Dan Scarbrough and Hugh Vyvyan all joining next season.
Youngsters Ben Broster and Paul Bailey along with scrum-half Morgan Williams have also agreed new deals with the club in recent weeks.
