Wigan Warriors second row forward Lee Mossop has signed a new five-year contract with the Super League leaders. The deal replaces the 21-year-old's current one which was due to expire at the end of next season and should keep him with the club until November 2014. Mossop, who joined Wigan as a 15-year-old, has made eight appearances this season - seven off the bench. Coach Michael Maguire said: "He has made a great start to the new season and has a wonderful future ahead." Mossop made 10 appearances off the bench for Wigan last year after successful loan stints with Barrow Raiders and Huddersfield Giants. He said: "I am thrilled to commit my long-term future to Wigan. "There have been some rumours linking me with a move to the NRL but this was never my intention at this stage of my career. "Wigan is heading in a great direction under Michael and it is my aim to do all I can to help Wigan's success."
