Huddersfield Giants have signed Lee Mossop from Wigan on a month's loan. The 20-year-old forward has made one appearance for Wigan this year in the Challenge Cup and has only just returned from a loan spell at Barrow. "We tried to sign him last season, but he decided to stay at Wigan then," Giants head coach Nathan Brown told BBC Radio Leeds. "The kid wants to play Super League and we can give him that. I think all parties will benefit greatly." Brown added: "We and young Lee will get the benefit now, but then Wigan will get that benefit later on because he will have gained valuable experience of playing at this level with us." Mossop, who is a product of the Hensingham Amateur Club in Cumbria, signed a new three-year deal with Wigan in 2008. He has representative honours at both county and England academy level. Wigan head coach Brian Noble explained: "For some of our players the reserves is great but for some they need to play at a higher level and if that's the Championship or Super League we'll enable them to do that."
