Rhys Williams happy with season so far at Warrington

Warrington winger Rhys Williams says he is starting to get used to playing in the Super League.

The Welsh 20-year-old academy graduate, who has made three appearances, scored his first try for the Wolves against Salford in their 68-14 win in May.

"At the start of the year I knew it was going to be a tough task and to break into a side top of the league," Williams told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"It will take me a few games to get into it and I'll make more strides."

He added: "The speed of the game and the hit of the collisions is that more intense.

"As the season goes along I'm going to get more confident, and the more games I play, the confidence will come through.

"I've got my first try and that was great and it definitely adds to that confidence."

The Wales international and former rugby union player says his progress has been helped by Wolves head coach Tony Smith.

"I'm always learning new stuff from Tony, especially since coming over from union," added Williams.

"There are lots of bits of my game that need tweaking. Every little bit helps really and I'm learning a lot as every day goes by."

Warrington face Huddersfield in Super League at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday, kick off 1500 BST.
