Myler joined the Wolves from Salford in the close season |
Warrington coach Tony Smith says he hopes one of the clubs young players will step up to take the place of injured scrum-half Richie Myler. The 19-year-old suffered a knee injury in the 60-4 Challenge Cup win over Huddersfield on Saturday. "It gives one of our younger members of the team to come into the side," Smith told BBC Radio Merseyside. "Richie's got a medial ligament strain in his knee. It looks like we're going to lose him for a few weeks." Leeds Rhinos are also without scrum-half Rob Burrow for three months, and Smith believes it will make it an even contest when the sides meet on Friday night at Headingley. "It's a little tit-for-tat there in terms of losing a young talented player," Smith continued. "But I'm sure they'll have people ready to step in. "Leeds have certainly got a lot of talent across the field."
