Smith is now combining the England job with coaching Warrington |
Warrington head coach Tony Smith has said the travel factor for both the Wolves and Catalans Dragons levels out the clubs' chances in Barcelona. Dragons usually play in Perpignan but host Super League's first ever game in the Catalan capital on Saturday. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "They've got to travel as well and have to do accommodation and all those exercises. "It probably evens the ledger for us going into this match as there's not going to be any surprises." "We've got a travel company which we deal through and they've got training pitches et cetera and organise accommodation for us with all the specifications we look for and they know what to look for for us," he added. "We haven't made personal trips out there, we're relying on the company we always rely on and I'm sure it'll all be fit and healthy and in a good state for us. "OK, it's a bit of a voyage into the unknown but that's good. There's an excitement about doing that, about being pioneers, if you like, of rugby league. "Going to a new stadium and a new country, we're very privileged to be involved. So we want to turn in a good show as well."
