Bradford avenged their 22-58 home defeat by Warrington earlier in the season with a deserved victory.

Chris Nero ran on to Ben Jefferies' kick and avoided two tackles to score, while Paul Deacon's two goals and a drop put the Bulls 9-0 up at half-time.

Glenn Morrison rounded off a sweeping move and Deacon converted to put Bulls 15-0 up, but poor tackling let Simon Grix cut inside and respond for Wolves.

Terry Newton crashed over for Bulls before Chris Hicks' consolation try.

Warrington coach Tony Smith (on whether his dual role as England and Warrington coach affected the Wolves performance):
"You guys don't know but I have had a little time away this year already and things just go on and we've had victories.

"Regardless of whether it did or didn't, that was the arrangement from both parties and there's no regrets on both sides.

"You can ask the boss at the back of the room if you want."

Bradford coach Steve McNamara:
"When we played at Odsal we were in a bit of a flat spot and they were probably in a similar type of situation themselves on Sunday.

"They've had a tremendous run in the league and the cup which went to extra-time and at some stage it catches up with you.

"But right from the start we were on the upper hand and thankfully we had some big performances and we pushed it on."
