Higham joined Warrington from Wigan |
Warrington hooker Mickey Higham has been told he faces a lay-off of up to three months with a torn bicep. He suffered the injury in the 34-18 win at Castleford but the serious nature of it only came to light following scans. The 28-year-old, who will have surgery on Wednesday to re-attach the muscle, looks certain to miss the Challenge Cup semi-final against Wigan on 8 August. "I'm absolutely gutted because we were just hitting a bit of form and sadly I'll not be part of it," said Higham. "I'm having an operation on Wednesday and it looks like I could be out for anywhere up to 12 weeks. "But I'm still hoping I might be back before the end of the season. We've got 12 league games left and then possibly the play offs so hopefully I'll get a bit of game time." Higham is one of only two players to have played in every game for the Wolves so far this season, his first with the club.
