Carvell has played for Hull FC and Leeds

Warrington forward Garreth Carvell has admitted Wolves have been disappointing at times this season.

Despite reaching the last eight in the Challenge Cup, Warrington sit in Super League's bottom four with eight points.

Carvell told BBC Radio Manchester: "So far we have been a little disappointing but we're now on the road to putting things right.

"We're moving in the right direction and, with Tony Smith on board, I'm sure we'll get there."

"If you pull that shirt on, you're 100% and that's all your mindset is on," he added.

"Equally, the fans - especially with the team we've got on paper - expect to have great performances and great wins."
