Demetriou has represented Greece and Canada in internationals |
Wakefield captain Jason Demetriou believes the spirit in the Wildcats squad is much better now that some unsettled players have left. Danny Brough and Shane Tronc have left the Hearwell Stadium in recent months, and Demetriou says the squad is stronger as a result. The Greece and Canada forward, 34, told BBC Radio Leeds: "Fact is those players didn't want to play for the club. "As far as am I'm concerned they wanted to leave, then good, let them leave." He said: "If they don't want to play for the club then I don't want to play with them and that's an attitude we've always had at Wakefield and it's something we'll stand by. "We want people to play for the club for the right reasons - if they don't want to then you can move on, but we need to kick on from that now."
