St Helens hooker Scott Moore has signed a contract extension to stay with the club until the end of 2012.

The 21-year-old England international spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Giants.

"I'm particularly looking forward to playing again with all my mates who came up through the academy with me," said Moore.

"We've got to get some silverware back in the cabinet next season and I can't wait to give it my best shot."

St Helens chairman Eamonn McManus believes the club have secured the services of a player with a bright future in the game.

"Next year is Keiron Cunningham's final year," he said.

"It's a great position for us to be in having James Roby and Scott Moore thereafter - again it's a testament to our academy system, through which all three international hookers have come."
