Cayless lands Wests Tigers deal

Jason Cayless
Cayless, 29, had an injury plagued final two years at St Helens

Former St Helens prop Jason Cayless has joined NRL side Wests Tigers.

The 29-year-old ex-New Zealand forward, who helped Saints win the Challenge Cup in 2006 and 2007 and the 2006 Grand Final, has signed a two-year contract.

"It is great to be back in Australia with a club heading in the right direction," said Cayless.

"I can't wait to play with the likes of Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah, Gareth Ellis and the boys under an excellent coach in Tim Sheens."

Cayless, brother of Kiwi Test and Parramatta prop Nathan, previously played in the NRL with the Sydney Roosters and Parramatta Eels.

Cayless left Saints in September after two years of injury problems, his last appearance coming back in April.
