Cayless has worked with Saints coach Daniel Anderson before |
St Helens have announced the signing of New Zealand prop Jason Cayless from Sydney Roosters on a four-year deal. Cayless, who played in three Grand Finals and won 11 caps, says the chance to work with former Kiwi coach Daniel Anderson was what made him join.
"It'll be great to work under him again and to link up with former team-mates such as Jamie Lyon, Vinnie Anderson and Willie Talau," he said.
"Saints are committed to the style and quality which I want to be a part of."
The 25-year-old will join the Saints next season, and Anderson said he would bring a lot to the Saints' line-up. "Jason will add size, strength and dynamism to our pack, which will be fearsome next season," he said.
"He will fit our style of play perfectly and will improve our physicality and skill levels."
