Myler has been linked with a move away to Warrington |
Salford City Reds half-back Robbie Paul says it is probably for the best that Richie Myler leaves the club. The England scrum-half, 19, has reportedly turned down an offer of a new contract at the Super League side. Paul told BBC Radio Manchester: "This will be a positive move for everyone involved because the club's philosophy and the player's don't see eye-to-eye. "Rather than trying to make it work and banging heads together, it's best to part and keep everything amicable." He added: "You never know what will happen in the future. A couple of years down the line, everyone might have the right amount of ingredients to put it all back together again - you just never know. "Richie has to take into account all the different aspects of where he sees his career going. I've seen this happen to many players over my career and one player doesn't make a club and he doesn't break a club either. "There's a good nucleus of young players and middle-of-the-road players and experience. "Though the club would probably have been very, very grateful to keep hold of Richie's talents, there's also a conveyor belt of talent coming through in this area and the club will look to invest their time and effort in other players."
