Parker joins Willie Talau and Paul White on the Reds' long-term injury list |
Salford have confirmed second row Rob Parker broke his skull in five places during the 34-18 defeat at Wigan. The ex-Bradford and Warrington player sustained the injury in a collision with team-mate Jordan Turner's elbow in one of the last tackles of the game. The second-rower said: "I've actually fractured my skull in five places. "I've had really bad headaches over the weekend. It was a complete accident and just one of those things, though it doesn't look like I need surgery." Parker will have to see a consultant in two weeks' time to find out when he will be allowed to play again. "They are saying I need no contact for five to six weeks but I am obviously hoping it will be less than that," he said.
