Before the Durham match, Prince averaged 98.75 in the Championship |
Departing South African batsman Ashwell Prince has said he is leaving Lancashire "with momentum". The Test player begins his last match for the county on Thursday at Chester-le-Street against Durham. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "Before my first game I was asked what would I like to do and my answer was to leave the team with good momentum. "I think we've got that for the season. We're in contention in all competitions so I can't ask for more than that." Prince added: "It's been very enjoyable. The most important thing is that the team is doing well, I feel I have made a contribution to that. "I think it's a young squad that's going places. Most of the guys are getting to the best of their careers and with a few senior players around it's a good mix and we've got a good coach in Peter Moores, so I think the future is looking great."
