Peacock moved to Leeds from Bradford in 2006 |
Leeds Rhinos forward Jamie Peacock has said that the 2008 season has seen him play some of the best rugby of his entire career. The 30-year-old was selected in the 2008 Super League Dream Team earlier this week, for a record seventh time. "I am playing as well as I have ever done, if not better," the Great Britain captain told BBC Radio Leeds. "I have got more to my game now and I am playing at a really consistent high level this season, which improves me." Peacock added: "To be more consistent was my major aim this season and I think that consistency has continued from the last few months of last season." The powerful forward was joined in the Dream Team by fellow Rhinos Gareth Ellis, Kevin Sinfield, Rob Burrow and Scott Donald. "I think being in the team seven times shows that I've been involved with some successful sides. "If you look at the Dream Team, it's normally made up of players that have been at clubs that have won things. "So I've been luckily during my time to be at good Bradford and Leeds teams that have reached finals and won trophies."
