Hull Kingston Rovers have set a finite price to pay for the services of former Australia Test forward Willie Mason. The Robins coach, Justin Morgan, said his side will not enter into a bidding war to bring the 30-year-old prop-forward to Craven Park in 2011. Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside: "We don't get into that situation. We do due diligence on a player's value. "Would he add to our team? Yes, he would. Is it necessary that he arrives? The answer is no." Hull KR are serious in their intentions to sign Mason, but the side could face competition from fellow Super League side Huddersfield, along with several Australian National Rugby League outfits. However, the Rovers' coach believes it would not be the end of the world if they failed to capture the signature of the former Australia international. "It's not the be-all and end-all, and it's not like we're desperate for back-rowers or front-rowers because we've already got some good quality players."
