Richard Horne was a late withdrawal from the match at The Stoop |
Hull FC will send half-back Richard Horne for a scan to determine the extent of the injury that forced him out of their 42-18 win at Harlequins. The 28-year-old was a late withdrawal after suffering a groin injury in the last training session before the game. FC assistant coach James Webster told BBC Radio Humberside: "Richard will go for a scan and the results will come back within a couple of days of that. "I'm not a medical man so I can't say any more but the results will tell us." Webster is relieved Hull FC do not have a game next weekend because of the Challenge Cup semi-finals but he refused to be drawn on whether Horne's injury is serious. "Hopefully the week off will help us but Richard will have to go for a scan and the scan will tell us what he has to do." The Black and Whites also have ongoing worries over Australian forward Craig Fitzgibbon, but Webster says they will try to manage his Achilles problem. "It's nothing bad enough for him to miss extended periods of time, I don't think. "We have a week off now and that will give Fittzy time to rest up during the week. "We'll try and pick and choose when we use him to his best effect until the end of the season."
