Cooke will start with a clean slate this season after disciplinary problems |
Hull Kingston Rovers have received an injury boost after X-rays revealed stand-off Paul Cooke did not break his wrist in the friendly with Salford. Scans revealed ligament damage but no break after the 27-year old sustained the injury during the 18-16 win. Robins coach Justin Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside: "He will probably have to play with some protection on the wrist." Cooke is a doubt for Rovers' Super League opener at Bradford next Sunday. Australian Daniel Fitzhenry could also miss the trip to the Grattan Stadium after picking up an injury in the run-out against the City Reds at Craven Park. Morgan said: "Daniel had a groin injury and could be out for a few weeks. We'll get him assessed and them we'll know more about what we're looking at." The Robins will be without Chaz I'Anson (knee) and Jason Netherton (Shoulder) for the game against Bradford but otherwise Morgan has a clean bill of health.
