Chester 1-1 Grimsby

Ryan Lowe's second-half goal earned Chester a point to keep them just above Grimsby in the League Two drop zone.

Town went ahead when Joe Widdowson's pass held up in the wind and Nick Hegarty stole in to fire home.

Kevin Ellison wasted three chances to equalise, hitting the side-netting, volleying over and then heading wide.

Lowe finally levelled after the break, rifling into the roof of the net, and City might have won it, but Laurence Wilson nodded over in the final minute.

After a 12-game run without a goal, it was City top scorer Lowe's first strike since mid-January, taking his tally to 14 for the season.
