Scotland international Ben Fisher scored two second-half tries for KR |
Hull KR coach Justin Morgan has called the 32-24 friendly win away to Warrington Warriors a confidence boost. Hooker Ben Fisher scored two tries with Daniel Fitzhenry, Michael Dobson, Ben Cockayne and Peter Fox also crossing at the Halliwell-Jones Stadium. Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside: "It gives the lads' confidence a little bit of a boost. I'm pleased to win although I know it doesn't count for anything." "I thought the first half replicated a Super League game in intensity." Scores from Fox and Cockayne plus a conversion from Dobson put Hull KR 10-0 up early in the game but they trailed 18-10 at the break as Warrington hit back. Rovers stepped up the pace in the second half with Fisher levelling the scores with two quick-fire tries before further touchdowns from Fitzhenry and Dobson wrapped up the victory. The Robins now head to York for another pre-season game on Sunday before taking on Salford next Friday evening at Craven Park. There first Super League game is away to the Bradford Bulls on Sunday, 15 February.
