Clint Newton shrugged off a calf injury to play against Wakefield on Sunday |
Hull Kingston Rovers second row forward Clint Newton has signed a new four-year deal to keep him at the club until the end of the 2013 season. The 27-year-old former Melbourne Storm star was due to be out of contract at Craven Park at the end of this season. He told the Hull Daily Mail: "There is no other team I want to play for. "I have no desire to return to the NRL because there is something special happening here at Rovers and I want to be part of it." Newton believes he can add a Super League title to the Grand Final honour he won while playing at the Storm. | 606: DEBATE |
Hull KR, who have lost just one of their first four Super League games of the season, lie in sixth place in the table after Sunday's 31-18 win against Wakefield. They welcome winless Celtic Crusaders to Craven Park on Sunday.
